US Magazine lauds Asim Munir’s "Successful Policies"

ISLAMABAD: The American magazine The National Interest has recognized the role of Field Marshal Asim Munir’s leadership in shaping successful diplomatic politics, they further added that the United States President Donald Trump has bolstered his new friendship with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir by declaring important economic agreements with Pakistan.

In this sense, as per the publication, Pakistan’s diplomatic approach under Field Marshal Asim Munir has brought important results, specifically in managing regional tensions. So far, the report mentioned that India suffered a major setback in recent developments, as Pakistan received support from President Trump through its strategic engagement and medication efforts in disputes with New Delhi.

Furthermore, the magazine recalled that following escalations between Pakistan and India, the Pakistan Air Force successfully shot down Indian fighter aircraft, further altering the balance in the conflict. Pakistan, it said, welcomed Washington’s role in urging both sides toward a ceasefire and even proposed the US President’s nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize for his mediation efforts.

Moreover, despite the US President’s invitation after the ceasefire, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi declined to visit Washington, a move that reportedly displeased President Trump.

The publication underlined that just a month later, President Trump consolidated these ties by announcing new economic agreements with Pakistan.
