Chinese Envoy Lauds Pakistan’s Role in US-Iran Talks

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar, met Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong on Monday in Islamabad, the Foreign Office said.

The Chinese envoy praised Pakistan’s role in facilitating indirect US-Iran dialogue. He appreciated Islamabad’s contribution to the recent diplomatic engagement between the two sides.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Dar welcomed the Chinese ambassador and reviewed post-talks developments from the Islamabad discussions. Both sides discussed regional and global developments in detail.

Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting dialogue and diplomacy for regional and international peace.

The Chinese ambassador described Pakistan’s facilitation efforts as constructive and important for regional stability. He said the role helped encourage diplomatic engagement between Washington and Tehran.

Both sides also reiterated their resolve to further strengthen the Pakistan-China all-weather strategic cooperative partnership.
