US bars its citizens from traveling to India

NEW YORK: The United States has issued a new travel advisory for its citizens in which American citizens have been instructed not to travel to Pakistan and India.

The US State Department has issued a travel advisory, and American citizens were informed to avoid traveling to India due to crime and terrorism, as there are risks of unrest and attacks in the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh regions, and there are risks of armed conflict on the Pakistan-India borders.

The State Department said that parts of central and eastern India are unsafe due to terrorism, while Manipur is considered unsafe due to violence and crime. According to Indian officials, rape incidents have increased in the country, and there are reports of violent crimes and sexual assaults at Indian tourist destinations.

Terrorists in India can attack without any warning. Tourist spots, transportation hubs and shopping malls in India can be attacked, markets and government buildings can be targeted.”

The advisory states that there are large numbers of soldiers from both countries on the borders of Pakistan and India. There is a risk of armed conflict in the areas near the India-Pakistan border and the LoC.
