Six thousand unregistered vehicles captured in Quetta

QUETTA: A massive crackdown against the unregistered vehicles in Quetta has been launched. Some 6000 motorcycles have been captured.

According to SSP operations Mohammad Baloch, some 90 percent of crimes have been committed using unregistered motorcycles in Quetta.

The SSP said that unregistered vehicles will not be spared on the roads.

He said that in the first phase, operation will be launched against the motorcycles and the Rickshaws.

“78 lac rupees have been collected in terms of fine”, He added.

The SSP Operations Mohammad Baloch said that the we do not aim to make people bothered.

The idea is to eliminated criminal activities that are done by using unregistered motorcycles.

We have deposited the heavy sum of 78 lac rupees in the treasury only after launching crackdown against the motorcycles.

The crimes have been reduced as a result of this crackdown. He said that 321 motorcycles were found unregistered on Espani Road alone.

He said that both the number plates on the motorcycles are mandatory.

The excise department has a large number of number plates.

Those who keep vouchers, are advised to get their motorcycles in 15 days. A joint registration will be done for those who do not have completed the installments of vouchers.
