QUETTA: Unidentified abductors have kidnapped the driver of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Gwadar and demanded a hefty ransom of Rs. 10 million for his release.
According to police sources, Professor Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, Vice Chancellor of the University of Gwadar, had traveled to Quetta for official work along with a government vehicle and his driver. On July 21, he sent the driver back to Gwadar with the official car. However, soon after departure, all contact with the driver was lost.
Later, the police recovered the official vehicle from the Western Bypass area of Quetta, but the driver, identified as Abdul Razzaq and a resident of Gwadar, was missing.
The First Information Report (FIR) registered in the case states that the abductors have contacted the victim’s family and demanded Rs. 10 million as ransom for his safe release.

Authorities are investigating the incident and searching for leads to locate the victim and apprehend the kidnappers.
