QUETTA: The University of Balochistan has reopened its boys’ and girls’ hostels after closing them for one month because of security concerns. The hostels were closed in early July after a clash between two student groups caused worry about possible violence.
According to students, the closure of hostels disrupted many students’ studies and worried their families.
Prior to reopening the hostels, the university administration put strong security measures in place to keep everyone safe. Students have been asked to behave well and stay away from any group fights. Students are told not to start fights and to report any problems to the university instead of handling them themselves.
The university hopes reopening the hostels will help get academic life back to normal.
