ْْQUETTA: UNHCR representative in Balochistan, Filippa Cendallor, has stated that work on the solarization project in the province is progressing rapidly.
The UNHCR is committed to providing sustainable energy sources in the region through solar technology.
Special Secretary for Health, Shehak Baloch, highlighted that Quetta has long suffered from prolonged power outages.
He emphasized that the solar projects will ensure a reliable supply of energy to hospitals.
It is important to note that the performance of the Quetta Electric Power Supply Company (QESCO) has come under scrutiny, as the provincial capital frequently experiences full-day or overnight power outages.
This long-standing issue has particularly affected areas like Eastern Bypass and surrounding neighborhoods, where electricity supply is often completely cut off.
