Two terrorists killed in CTD operation in Derakhshan

QUETTA: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police killed two terrorists linked to a banned organisation during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan on Monday.

CTD personnel conducted a search operation in Derkhashan after receiving information about the terrorists’ presence.
When the CTD team reached the area, the terrorists opened fire.

The exchange of fire lasted for an hour.

CTD forces killed one terrorist during the gunfight. The second terrorist got injured and detonated his explosives, killing himself.

Officials identified both terrorists as members of the Balochistan Liberation Army, a designated terrorist group operating in Balochistan.
Security forces recovered a large cache of weapons from the site.
