Two soldiers martyred in Waziristan laid to rest with full military honours

HYDERABAD: Two Pakistan Army soldiers who got martyrdom during an operation against militants in Waziristan were laid to rest with full military honours in their native towns of Hyderabad and Hala.

In this regard, the martyred soldiers, Lance Naik Asif Qureshi and Sepoy Muhammad Hanif Chohan, were considered as heroes for their courage and devotion to duty in the ongoing fight against terrorism.

Furthermore, the funeral prayers of Lance Naik Asif Qureshi were offered at the Eidgah in the Preetabad area.

The solemn ceremony was attended by a large number of citizens, family members, and senior officials, including GOC Yahya Gondal, MPA Tariq Razaq Dahrio, SSP Adeel Chandio.

Moreover, a contingent of the forces presented a guard of honour and saluted the national flag-draped coffin.

Meanwhile, the Sepoy Muhammad Hanif Chohan was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Muhammad Saleh Chohan village.

In addition, his funeral was attended by a large number of locals, army officers, and officials, including SSP Matiari Rao Arif and PML-N Sindh President Naseer Memon.

Sepoy Hanif Chohan had joined the Pakistan Army nine years ago.

He leaves behind his parents, wife, and a two-year-old son.

In such a scenario, the military representatives confirmed the resolve of the armed forces to continue the fight against terrorism until peace and stability are fully restored.
