QUETTA: As many as two security personnel were martyred in two separate bomb blasts hit Balochistan’s Kalat and Jhal Magsi districts.
According to security sources, both attacks involved roadside improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and are being investigated as targeted assaults on security forces.
The first explosion occurred in Gandawah, the district headquarters of Jhal Magsi, where a roadside IED detonated near an ongoing development project.
Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported in this incident. Law enforcement agencies, including emergency response teams and border security units, reached the site quickly, securing the area and launching a thorough bomb disposal and area clearance operation.

In a more serious incident, a powerful IED explosion struck near a security checkpoint in the Sheikh Haji area of Kalat’s Mangocher region, reportedly targeting a Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), according to Levies Force sources.
The blast resulted in the martyrdom of two security personnel, with four others critically injured. The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby trauma center, and security forces have since launched a search and surveillance operation in the surrounding areas to locate any suspects.
