D.I. KHAN: A vehicle in the security squad of Maulana Asjad Mahmood, son of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, met with an accident in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, police said on Wednesday.
The accident occurred near Wanda York while the convoy was traveling from Lakki Marwat to Dera Ismail Khan.
Two volunteers were killed and one was injured in the incident. Asjad Mahmood remained unharmed, police confirmed.
Rescue teams shifted the dead and injured to a nearby hospital.
Authorities said the victims belonged to Lakki Marwat district.
Police said the vehicle skidded due to slippery road conditions and fell off the CPEC motorway.
