Two Injured in Motorcycle Bomb Blast in Khuzdar’s Nall Area

KHUZDAR: Two members of a local peace committee are injured in the evening when an improvised explosive device (IED) planted on a motorcycle exploded. The blast occurred at approximately 6:20 p.m. in the Koh area when assailants detonated an IED targeting the vehicle of Peace Committee head, Commander Zafar Mirwani.

Furthermore, Commander Mureed M. Hasni, both members of the local peace committee, sustained injuries. They were immediately shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment, where officials reported their condition as stable.

In this regard, levies and police personnel rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area. A search operation was launched to track down those involved, while bomb disposal experts collected evidence from the site to determine the nature and intensity of the explosives used.

In addition, security officials have not yet confirmed which group may be behind the attack, but investigators suspect the involvement of militant outfits active in parts of Balochistan.

Moreover, Khuzdar district, located in central Balochistan, has seen sporadic attacks in recent years, often aimed at local leaders cooperating with the state in efforts to maintain peace.

The targeting of peace committee members mentions ongoing threats faced by community representatives who assist in stabilizing the region.
