BANNU: Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts, two hardened terrorists linked to the banned Gul Bahadur group were eliminated in a joint intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and police forces. The operation took place in a sensitive area, following weeks of intelligence gathering and surveillance.
The terrorists have been identified as Hussain Ahmed Domel, a resident of Bannu, and Inaam Toro alias Jihad Yar from Datta Khel, North Waziristan. In this sense, both were deeply involved in orchestrating deadly attacks against security forces and civilians, spreading the venomous ideology of the Fitna Al Khawarij, which has long been posed a threat to peace and stability in the region.
