Two Fitna Al Khawarij killed in Lakki Marwat Operation

LAKKI MARWAT: The police and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) killed two Fitna Al Khawarij and recovered arms and ammunition during an intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat district.

The operation was launched on the directives of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed. District Police Officer (DPO) Lakki Marwat Nazeer Khan supervised the operation.

Furthermore, the security forces moved into the forest area of Mash Masti Khani village, where terrorists were reportedly preparing to carry out an attack.

The exchange of fire continued for nearly half an hour, during which two terrorists were killed.

In this sense, during the sweep, security forces also seized arms, ammunition, and other material from the site, which has been taken into custody for forensic examination.

In this regard, IGP Zulfiqar Hameed and Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Ismail Khan Sajjad Khan lauded the professionalism and courage of the police and CTD teams.

“The sacrifices of our brave personnel are a guarantee of peace and stability in the province,” IGP Hameed said in his statement. He added that the police remain fully alert to protect the people and will not allow terrorists to disrupt public safety.

Moreover, the RPO Sajjad Khan also praised the coordinated action of the participating units, mentioning that the successful operation reflects the high level of preparedness of the security forces.
