Two bodies found in Kalat’s Sheikhri Area

KALAT: Levies sources have confirmed the recovery of two bodies from the Ganda Gain area of Sheikhri in Kalat.

The deceased have been identified as Samiullah, son of Muhammad Hanif, and Bismillah, whose father’s name remains unknown—both residents of Padangabad, District Mastung.

Their bodies have been moved to the Rural Health Centre (RHC) in Manguchar for further examination.

This incident comes just days after two other bodies were found in the Noshki region.

Those individuals were initially believed to have lost their way in a remote area and died due to hunger and thirst. However, in the case of these two men from Mastung, the cause of death remains unclear as investigations continue.

Balochistan continues to grapple with deteriorating law and order conditions, and the recurring discovery of unidentified or unexplained bodies from remote regions remains a grim concern.

Balochistan has long been a hotspot of militant activity, where armed groups operate in remote and rugged terrains.

These groups are involved in sabotage, targeted killings, abductions, and attacks on security forces and infrastructure, particularly along highways, gas pipelines, and railway lines.

The landscape of militancy in the province includes both separatist insurgents seeking to establish an independent Baloch state and other armed factions with shifting alliances and rivalries.

The ongoing conflict has deeply impacted civilian life in the region, leading to frequent incidents of violence, disappearances, and the discovery of bodies in uninhabited areas.

Militant factions have also clashed among themselves over territorial control, funding, and recruitment, adding another layer of complexity to the province’s security challenges. The persistent instability hampers development efforts and keeps much of Balochistan’s vast potential untapped.
