TURBAT: Assistant Commissioner Turbat, Muhammad Jan Baloch, held a press conference at the Levies Station. He said the Levies Force recovered over 549 kilograms of hashish in two separate operations. They also took two pickup vehicles into custody.

The first operation happened at 5:15am today at the Kesak checkpoint. During a routine check, Levies signaled a suspicious pickup to stop. The driver tried to flee. Levies chased the vehicle. The driver escaped towards Kesak Bazaar and disappeared into narrow alleys. Levies searched the vehicle and found 222 kilograms of hashish.

The second operation took place near the Dayat checkpoint. It was based on a tip-off. Levies tried to stop another suspicious vehicle. The driver sped off towards the Mirani Dam area. He abandoned the vehicle in the nearby mountains and escaped. A large quantity of hashish was recovered from the vehicle.

Assistant Commissioner Baloch said the crackdown is ongoing under Deputy Commissioner Kech, Basheer Ahmed Badeni’s direction. He warned that drug traffickers will face strict action. “We will not let anyone use our region as a drug corridor,” he said.
