WASHINGTON: United States President Donald Trump announced that American forces have conducted targeted strikes on Iran’s three primary nuclear sites, claiming a decisive military victory and warning Tehran of further devastating consequences if it fails to pursue peace.
In this sense, in a nationally televised address lasting just over three minutes, President Trump declared the strikes a “spectacular military success,” stating that Iran’s core nuclear enrichment facilities had been “completely and totally obliterated.”
“These sites were not just symbolic, they were the heart of Iran’s nuclear ambitions,” Trump said. “Their destruction sends a clear and unmistakable message: the United States will not tolerate threats to global peace and stability.”
Furthermore, the US Department of Defense has yet to release detailed assessments, sources within the Pentagon have confirmed that precision-guided munitions were used in the strikes, targeting Iran’s facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Arak.
President Trump focused on that the military action was taken to prevent what he described as a “growing threat” and to push Iran toward diplomatic resolution. “Iran’s future now stands at a crossroads,” he said. “It holds either peace or tragedy.”
