Several Indian Troops died in Indian Occupied Kashmir

SRI NAGAR: A vehicle of Indian Armed Personnel falls in the gorge causing deaths of 10 personnel.

According to The Times of India, a horrific incident took place in the Doda District of the Indian Occupied Kashmir when a vehicle carrying troops was moving on a road.

After the earlier rain, the wheels of the Troops Van skidded and it fell 200 feet down in a gorge. 10 personnel of the Indian Armed forces died in the incident.

The bodies of the troops were shifted to the hospital after the incident.

It is worth mentioning that deadly accidents involving vehicles carrying Indian troops have occurred repeatedly in Indian-held Jammu and Kashmir over the years, largely due to the region’s difficult mountainous terrain, narrow roads, and unpredictable weather conditions.

Troop convoys often travel through steep passes and sharp curves, increasing the risk of vehicles skidding off roads and falling into deep gorges.

Such incidents have claimed the lives of many soldiers to date, making road accidents one of the major non-combat causes of casualties among Indian forces in the region.

Despite safety measures and periodic reviews, these tragic accidents continue to highlight the ongoing challenges faced by troops operating in remote and high-risk areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
