Tribal leader’s convoy attacked by Fitna Al Hindustan in Khuzdar

KHUZDAR: The brutal act of terrorism attributed to the India-backed group Fitna Al Hindustan, a deadly ambush took place targeting a tribal leader’s convoy in Khuzdar. The attack claimed the life of Mir Atta-ur-Rehman Mengal, while his son and four others sustained injuries.

As per the verified security sources, the convoy was en route to Aranji when it came under heavy gunfire from unidentified assailants positioned in the hilly region of Khuzdar Ghaat. 

The attackers opened indiscriminate fire on the vehicles, killing Mir Atta-ur-Rehman on the spot and wounding his son and companions.

Mir Atta-ur-Rehman Mengal was the brother of former Balochistan Chief Minister Naseer Mengal and also the brother of prominent political figure Mir Shafiq-ur-Rehman Mengal, the head of the Jhalawan Awami Panel. 

In such a scenario, the law enforcement agencies swiftly responded to the site of the incident and began search operations to trace the perpetrators. 

The wounded were shifted to a nearby medical facility in critical condition. Security forces have cordoned off the area and increased patrols across Khuzdar to prevent further violence.

Balochistan’s political leadership condemned the attack, terming it an assault on the peace and unity of the region.

This incident mentions the persistent threat of foreign-sponsored terrorism in the province, particularly targeting tribal leadership to incite instability.
