Tri-Services Coordination Vital to Counter New-Age Warfare: CDF Asim Munir

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has received a tri-services Guard of Honour at General Headquarters on Monday, the military’s media wing said.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of Air Staff Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, and senior officers from all three services attended the ceremony.

Addressing officers from the tri-services, the COAS and CDF praised the courage of the Pakistani nation and the professionalism of the armed forces during Marka-e-Haq. He said the operation’s multi-domain actions have become a “textbook example” for future warfare. He also paid tribute to the martyrs.

He called for stronger tri-services integration, saying the armed forces must adapt to modern warfare shaped by cyber space, the electromagnetic spectrum, outer space, information operations, artificial intelligence and quantum computing. He described the newly established CDF Headquarters as a historic step that will strengthen coordination and coherence across the services.

In his closing remarks, he outlined his vision for a forward-looking, combat-ready force that deters aggression and retains the nation’s full confidence.

The ceremony also included award presentations to Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force personnel for their bravery during Marka-e-Haq.

It is worth mentioning that the Chief of the Defence Forces has taken the charge in an situation when Pakistan has come across some intense challenges not only the Eastern and the Western boders but the armed forces of Pakistan also have to tackle with the challenge of insurgencies in KP and Balochistan.

The militant-attacks have been massive in numbers during the ongoing year 2025.

Thousands of the civilians as well as the security personnel have lost their lives in the militant attacks.
