Question raised on the transparency of MDCAT in Balochistan

QUETTA: The Balochistan students appearing in MDCAT have raised questions on the transparency of the MDCAT 2025.

The students appearing in the test have talked in a press conference and have said that the MDCAT carried doubts and suspicions over its transparency.

The students have said that they are not being provided with the booklets of the MDCAT.

They added that the booklets have been awarded to the students in the other provinces but the Principal of the Bolan Medical College has not yet handed over the booklets to the students.

The students said that instead of carrying out a protest, they sent emails to the principal, however, the issue was not resolved.

The students alleged that various questions of the Physics and Chemistry test were out of course.

The students have warned that if they are not awarded the booklets, the matter will be referred to the court.

The students raised some more questions on the transparency of the MDCAT.

They said that the test on the 26th October was held quite late. They noted that the total marks on the test were revealed as 180, however, however, the total number displayed on the result were 200.

This has led the students to anxiety and the suspicions. The students have demanded that their reservations need to be resolved.

The MDCAT 2025 (Medical and Dental College Admission Test) is a mandatory entrance exam for students seeking admission to medical and dental colleges in Pakistan.

Conducted by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), the test evaluates students’ knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English, with an emphasis on conceptual understanding rather than rote learning.

MDCAT 2025 aims to ensure merit-based admissions and maintain high academic standards in medical education.

Students are encouraged to start early preparation using the official syllabus and past papers. Success in MDCAT not only reflects academic ability but also dedication, consistency, and analytical skills.
