EU, UNICEF launch advanced Training Programme for teachers in Nushki

NUSHKI: A teacher training programme aligned with modern educational standards has been launched in Nushki with the support of the European Union and UNICEF.

The training aims to enhance teaching skills of the male and female teachers and improve the quality of education in the region.

The programme, currently underway in different phases, includes both male and female teachers. Training sessions at the Government Girls High School Ghareebabad are being conducted by master trainers from Nushki and pilot trainers from Quetta.

Trainers are guiding teachers on modern teaching methodologies, curriculum development, lesson planning, and academic writing techniques.

The 15-day programme offers participants a daily honorarium of Rs1,500. Organisers said the initiative is expected to significantly strengthen teachers’ professional capacity and raise overall educational standards in Balochistan.

In October, Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti had claimed that the Balochistan government has successfully reactivated 3,144 schools and brought education back more than 81,000 children to the schools. This effort has revived 81% of the 3,862 schools that were once non-functional.
