QUETTA: A tragic traffic accident occurred in the suburban area of Nakhilabad Akhtarabad near Quetta, resulting in the death of five people.
According to details, a vehicle collided with a motorcycle in Nakhilabad Akhtarabad, killing five individuals on the spot.
The bodies were immediately shifted to a hospital. Authorities are currently working to identify the deceased and trace their families.
So far, limited information has been received regarding the collision between the car and the motorcycle.
It is worth noting that road accidents have become a daily occurrence in Quetta and its surrounding areas.
Over the past decade, Balochistan has witnessed a disturbing rise in road accidents, often due to poor road infrastructure, over-speeding, lack of traffic regulations enforcement, and overloading.
According to official records and media reports, thousands have lost their lives in various parts of the province in fatal road mishaps, with highways such as the Quetta-Karachi RCD highway and Quetta-Zhob route being particularly notorious for high casualty rates.
