ZEHRI: The heartbreaking incident in the Zehri area has once again drawn attention to the brutality of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) terrorists and the human cost of their violence.
The episode, which unfolded in a small village, has shocked locals and underlined the importance of timely action by security forces.
In this regard, the pregnant woman identified as Fahmida bint Wahid Bakhsh, an ordinary Baloch citizen, was held captive in her home, which had been taken over by armed BLA militants.
In this sense, as her health deteriorated, family members consistently pleaded with the militants to allow her to seek medical treatment.
Furthermore, the security forces launched an operation to clear the area of militants after reports of credible intelligence.
So far, within a few hours, the house was freed, and Fahmida was rescued. She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but her condition had become critical.
Tragically, she lost her baby en route to the hospital, and the child was declared stillborn upon arrival.

Meanwhile, the incident has created widespread grief and anger among the local community, who see it as yet another example of how militant groups exploit and endanger innocent civilians.
Additionally, the residents of Zehri say such acts expose the harsh reality that the BLA’s violence is not only directed at state institutions but also inflicts deep suffering on the very people they claim to represent.
Similarly, security personnel confirmed that the situation in Zehri has now largely stabilized, with normalcy gradually returning. However, the sorrow surrounding Fahmida’s loss continues to haunt the community.
