ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police on Tuesday issued a traffic advisory ahead of the T20 Tri-Nations Cricket Series, which begins tomorrow with Pakistan vs Zimbabwe opening match at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The series will run until November 29.
Police said the movement of cricket teams between Islamabad and Rawalpindi will affect routine traffic flow on match days. Over 300 traffic officials will be deployed for the event.
Authorities warned that team movements may slow traffic on the Expressway and Srinagar Highway, particularly during peak hours. They advised commuters to plan their travel with an additional 15 to 20 minutes.
Islamabad Traffic Police said it will try to ensure minimum inconvenience to motorists. Real-time updates will be issued through the police’s official social media platforms and FM 92.4.
Officials urged residents to cooperate with traffic personnel during team movements and match timings. Citizens can report emergencies through Police Helpline 15 or the Traffic Helpline 1915.
Yesterday, Pakistan have white-washed Sri Lanka in the ODI home series by winning the final one day by six wickets.
With white wash, Pakistan jumped to number four. Pakistan have won 5 out of their last 6 ODI series. Team Pakistan has the highest winning record in the ODIs since 2021.
Pakistan have won 13 out of their 24 ODIs with a winning percentage of 54. India are at number 2 with 48 percent wins.
