QUETTA: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast hot and humid weather across most parts of Balochistan, with chances of heavy rainfall in several key districts.
According to the Met Office, Barkhan, Sibi, Kohlu, Musakhel, Qila Saifullah, and Kalat are likely to experience heavy downpours over the coming hours. Rain is also expected in Loralai, Dera Bugti, Zhob, Khuzdar, Awaran, Lasbela, and surrounding areas. At a few places, the rainfall may turn torrential, potentially causing temporary flooding or disruption.
Temperature Highlights Across Balochistan:
- Quetta recorded a maximum temperature of 35°C, while Kalat remained cooler at 29°C.
- Ziarat saw a mild 22°C, and Zhob reached 34°C.
- Sibi continued to swelter at 40°C, with Turbat recording one of the highest temperatures at 44°C.
- Nokundi registered 41°C, and Chaman experienced 36°C.
- Along the coastal belt, Gwadar stood at 33°C and Jiwani at 32°C.

The Meteorological Department has advised residents and local authorities to remain alert, especially in areas prone to flash flooding and landslides. Authorities are also urging travelers and commuters to exercise caution during the predicted spell of inclement weather.
