RAWALPINDI: The ISPR has said that Pakistan’s security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Mastung District following confirmed reports of the presence of terrorists affiliated with the Indian proxy group, Fitna al Hindustan.
According to the sources, during the operation, security personnel successfully engaged the terrorists’ hideout. As a result, three terrorists were eliminated.
Tragically, in the fierce exchange of fire, Major Zeeyyad Salim Awal (31 years old, resident of District Khushab), a courageous officer who was fearlessly leading from the front, embraced martyrdom.
He was joined in this ultimate sacrifice by Sepoy Nazam Hussain (22 years old, resident of District Jhelum), another valiant son of the soil.
A post-operation clearance (sanitization) effort is underway to ensure no remaining elements of the Indian-sponsored terror network remain in the area.
