Three dead, seven injured in Kech road accident

KECH: At least three people were killed and seven others were wounded in a road accident near Miskin in Kech district of Balochistan on Friday.

As per details, the accident occurred on the Buleda-Turbat Road near Miskin in Kech district.

The accident happened when a local vehicle, carrying residents of Buleda Koshak, lost control due to brake failure and overturned.

A child and two women died on the spot. Three men and four women sustained serious injuries.

Rescue teams shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. Doctors report that their condition remains critical.

Earlier on Thursday, at least three people were killed when a potato-laden truck overturned near the Khanozai area of Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, on Thursday.

The Police said that the truck overturned due to speeding. The accident victims are said to be from Kanak.

The bodies of the Quetta accident victims have been shifted to Khanozai Civil Hospital.

It is pertinent to mention here that last month the federal government had announced a major infrastructure initiative to upgrade the Quetta-Karachi (N-25) Highway, known as the killer highway of Balochistan to into a motorway-standard highway.  The federal government had announced that redirect funds saved from the recent drop in global oil prices.
