ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that Pakistan will have to maintain its defense capabilities and be ready for any possible threat from India as the threat from India is still there and we cannot say that the threat has reduced.
While giving an interview to a private news channel, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has informed that Pakistan’s security forces have successfully blocked the 4 Indian Rafale aircraft which were moving towards Pakistan’s airspace.
Khawaja Asif added that there has been no significant movement from India after this incident with Rafale aircraft.
Regarding the Indus Waters Treaty, Defense Minister said that Pakistan will contact the World Bank in a few days so that the issues under this agreement can be resolved.
“India failed to provide any evidence against Pakistan regarding the Pahalgam incident, which is proof that the allegations made by India are baseless” Asif said.
Defense Minister made it clear that Pakistan will take all possible steps for its sovereignty and security and no one should be in doubt as we have the brave army to defend the motherland from any kind of aggression.
It is worthy to be mentioned here that India has started blame game after the Pahalgam attack in which 26 tourists were killed and 20 others were injured, the Modi-led Indian government trying to link the incident with the cross-border activities.
