The militants are targeting the development in Balochistan: DG ISPR

ISLAMABAD: In an interview with a British broadcasting organization, the DG ISPR stated that the military has no interest in engaging with political parties and that political matters should be resolved by politicians themselves.

He emphasized unity among all Pakistanis, saying, “We are not Baloch, Sindhi, or Punjabi—we are one nation.

The people of Balochistan stand with Pakistan. Balochistan and Pakistan are one, and Balochistan is our crown jewel.”

He added that those spreading baseless claims are doing so on Indian funding.

General Chaudhry further said that terrorists are targeting every effort for Balochistan’s development and prosperity.

“They are pulling innocent people off buses and killing unarmed civilians.”

He stressed that the terrorists operating in Balochistan are confronted and eliminated when encountered.

“They are under the illusion that anti-Pakistan sentiments prevail in Balochistan, but that is not the case,” he asserted.

He also called on Afghanistan’s interim government to take action and stop supporting foreign elements.

On the issue of missing persons, the DG ISPR said that a commission is already in place and the Government of Pakistan is actively working to trace every individual. “The law does not allow anyone to forcibly disappear or abduct a person. Taking someone from their home is completely wrong,” he concluded.
