RAWALPINDI: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and intelligence agencies have arrested a terrorist affiliated with the Fitna al-Khawarij group during a joint intelligence-based operation. They also recovered a large cache of arms and explosives.
The arrested terrorist, identified as Musa, had conducted reconnaissance of sensitive locations in Rawalpindi and was actively planning attacks. He recorded videos of these locations and shared them on social media.
Investigators revealed that Musa had traveled to Afghanistan multiple times for training and maintained contact with a key commander of the Khawarij network.
Security forces recovered hand grenades, a 7-foot safety fuse wire, three detonators, a remote button, prima card, and bullets from his possession.

Authorities have registered a case against him and launched a further investigation to trace his network and neutralize any remaining threats.
