ISLAMABAD: The fresh reports have surfaced indicating the presence of joint training camps and safe havens of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and Al-Qaeda inside Afghanistan. These sanctuaries are believed to be located in remote and inaccessible areas of eastern and southern Afghanistan.
The alleged cooperation between these groups is seen as a serious security concern for the region, particularly for Pakistan, which has repeatedly raised the issue with Afghan authorities.
Furthermore, the reports further suggest that the BLA, operating from these safe havens, has adopted tactics that involve using families and non-combatants as human shields.
In this regard, Pakistan has consistently maintained that elements of the TTP and BLA find refuge across the border and use Afghan soil to orchestrate violence inside Pakistan. Islamabad has called on the interim Afghan government to take decisive action against groups threatening Pakistan’s security.
In this sense, the diplomatic voices stress the importance of collective regional cooperation to address the matter. The Afghan authorities, meanwhile, have not yet issued an official response regarding the latest claims.

However, Pakistan is expected to raise the issue through both bilateral and multilateral platforms in the coming days, reasserting its stance on the need for concrete action against terror outfits operating from Afghan soil.
