QUETTA: Balochistan continues to experience an intense heatwave, with temperatures soaring up to 48°C in some areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, extremely hot and dry weather is expected to persist across various districts of the province.
Heat intensity is likely to increase in most lowland regions, prompting authorities to advise residents to take precautionary measures.
In Ziarat, the maximum temperature was recorded at 27°C, while Zhob saw temperatures rise to 39°C. Sibi recorded the highest temperature at 48°C, marking one of the most severe heat levels in the province. Other areas also faced extreme heat, with Turbat at 45°C, Nokundi at 43°C, and Chaman at 37°C.
The coastal belt is also under the grip of heat, with Gwadar and Jiwani recording maximum temperatures of 37°C and 36°C respectively.

The weather department has forecast continued hot and dry conditions for most parts of Balochistan over the coming days. Citizens have been urged to avoid direct sunlight, stay well-hydrated, and follow safety guidelines to prevent heat-related health issues.
