KALAT: A severe cold wave has intensified in Kalat city and surrounding areas.
Temperatures were reported to have dropped below the freezing point due to intense cold conditions.
During the past 24 hours, the minimum temperature was recorded at minus 7 degrees Celsius, according to the Meteorological Department.
Daily life has been badly disrupted by prolonged electricity outages amid the extreme cold.
Gas supply was reported to be completely unavailable, adding to difficulties faced by residents.
