Tania Bazai: Internal rifts and fear of educated Baloch shake Fitna al-Hindustan

QUETTA: Senior lawyer and Analyst Tanzia Bazai has said that internal divisions and infighting over foreign funding are weakening the various groups operating under the umbrella of “Fitna al-Hindustan.”

Speaking to Burak Digital, Tania Bazai said that the so-called movement is plagued by internal conflicts and is now fearful of educated and politically aware Baloch youth.

She added that these terrorist groups fall into conflict when it comes to the distribution of foreign funding, adding that a clear example is the tragic case of Ghaffar Langov, father of Mahrang, who was reportedly killed by his own group due to internal disagreements.

She added that such groups are no longer able to maintain their influence, as young, educated Baloch are beginning to question and reject violence and extremism. “They are afraid of intellectual resistance because it threatens their narrative”, Bazai remarked.
