KABUL: Afghan journalist and political analyst Ahmad Sharifzad strongly rejected the Taliban’s claim that Pakistan targeted a drug rehabilitation hospital in recent airstrikes, stating that the actual target was a military facility.
He said on X (formerly Twitter) that an eyewitness in Kabul reported: “Pakistani jets bombed Taliban Ministry of Defence Air Force installations and the Procurement Directorate (former U.S. Camp Phoenix). We saw it with our own eyes. The rehabilitation camp for addicts was set on fire by the Taliban themselves.”
He also shared a purported audio message with his post as supporting evidence.

In the viral clip, it can allegedly be heard that the Taliban set the fire themselves in an attempt to discredit Pakistan.
