T20 World Cup: Pakistan Decides to Play Against India After ICC Accepts Conditions

T20 World Cup: Pakistan Likely to Decide on India Match Feb 12

ISLAMABAD:  A major development has emerged in the ongoing T20 World Cup dispute. Pakistan has secured its demands with the ICC and is now ready to play against India.

Earlier, the presidents of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka had also requested Pakistan to face India in the tournament.

Earlier, the President of Sri Lanka called Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, urging Pakistan to participate in the match scheduled in Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan president reportedly reminded the prime minister that, despite security challenges, Pakistan has consistently supported Sri Lankan cricket. Pakistani teams have continued to play in Sri Lanka even under difficult circumstances.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board and UAE had also requested Pakistan to play its group match against India.

Yesterday, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met with the ICC Deputy Chairman and the President of the Bangladesh Cricket Board to discuss the issue.
