Sydney Sixers to create ‘Babaristan’ fan zone for star Babar Azam

Pakistani cricketer Babar Azam, Australia's Sydney Sixers will establish a special fan zone named "Babaristan" at their home ground

SYDNEY: In a major tribute to Pakistani cricketer Babar Azam, Australia’s Sydney Sixers will establish a special fan zone named “Babaristan” at their home ground.

The club’s management described the signing of the world-class batsman as a “historic occasion.” To celebrate his presence, they are creating a dedicated area for fans to immerse themselves in a cricket-filled atmosphere.

The “Babaristan” zone will feature special seating, themed decorations, and exclusive merchandise, all designed to allow fans to experience the “colour, passion and magic” of supporting their favourite player.

The fan zone will be officially launched on December 17 during the Sixers’ match against the Adelaide Strikers. The club has warned that seats are limited and encouraged fans to secure their tickets quickly to be part of the event.

The initiative aims to do more than just create a fan area; it is designed to strengthen cricket’s global community by honouring a player who has “won millions of hearts around the world with his skills.” For Pakistani fans in Australia, it provides a dedicated space to celebrate their cricketing hero.

Pakistan finalises Squad against South Africa Babar Azam has returned to Pakistan’s T20I squad for the upcoming series against South Africa, which starts on October 28. He was previously excluded from the T20 squad for the Asia Cup, but selectors have now brought him back for the series against South Africa and the subsequent tri-series against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
