Surge in terrorism in Balochistan, scholar supports full-fledge military operation

ISLAMABAD: There are terrorist activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan, which have witnessed a disturbing increase in recent months, with credible intelligence reports pointing to Indian-backed proxies as a major source of the unrest. In this regard, the renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Nasrullah Magsi from Balochistan expressed deep concern over the escalating violence and made an urgent appeal for decisive state action.

The situation has sparked fresh concerns over national security and stability in the region.

In this sense, militant groups such as the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), both officially designated as terrorist organizations by the government and international bodies, including the United Nations, continue to engage in violent, anti-state operations.

In this regard, the renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Nasrullah Magsi from Balochistan expressed deep concern over the escalating violence and made an urgent appeal for decisive state action.

He strongly condemned the actions of terrorist groups, particularly the heinous targeting of children and civilians, calling such acts a “gross violation of humanity and Islamic principles.”

Magsi also focused on the need for a comprehensive and well-coordinated security operation in Balochistan to root out terrorist elements and ensure the protection of innocent lives.

Meanwhile, public sentiment in the affected areas also reflects rising frustration and fear. Residents have repeatedly appealed to the government for stronger protection and a sustained effort to counter terrorism.
