Supply of food items resumes through Taftan border – AC Taftan

QUETTA: After the Israel-Iran war, the situation at the Taftan border has started to return to normal.

According to Assistant Commissioner Taftan, Naeem Shahwani, the supply of food and essential items through the Taftan border has resumed.

It is worth mentioning that during the 13-day-long conflict between Iran and Israel, the Pakistan-Iran border at Taftan was closed.

As a result, there was a severe shortage of Iranian petrol and food supplies, especially in Balochistan.

Petrol became scarce across the province, and whatever limited fuel was available at pumps was being sold at a high price of 350 rupees per liter.

Not only that, but there was also a serious shortage of food items, with prices rising beyond the purchasing power of the public.

However, with the reopening of the border, a steady supply of goods is expected, and both fuel and food prices are likely to return to normal.
