Suicide Bomber Among Five Khawarij Killed in Pishin: ISPR

PISHIN: Security forces killed five militants during an intelligence-based operation in Pishin district of Balochistan, the military said on Monday.

According to the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), troops carried out the operation on Feb. 22, 2026, in the district of Pishin District after receiving reports of the presence of militants.

ISPR said the suspects were linked to what it described as the Indian-backed group “Fitna al Khawarij.” Troops engaged the militants at their hideout and exchanged heavy fire. During the operation, one suicide bomber detonated himself, while security forces shot dead four other militants.

Forces recovered weapons, ammunition and explosives from the site. The military said the slain militants had been involved in several attacks in the area.

ISPR added that clearance and sanitization operations are continuing to eliminate any remaining militants in the district. It said security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue operations under the National Action Plan and the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision until they eradicate militancy from the country.
