Pakistan vs South Africa Test Series Begins with Squad Adjustments

LAHORE: The South African Test cricket team has arrived in Lahore, marking the start of their tour of Pakistan. The squad landed at Allama Iqbal International Airport and was transported to their hotel under tight security arrangements. The first group of players arrived earlier, with a second group scheduled to land a few hours later.

This tour features a two-match Test series, which is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle. South Africa enters this contest as the reigning champion of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25.

The first Test will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore from October 12 to 16. The action will then shift to the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium for the second Test, scheduled for October 20 to 24.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board has finalized its 16-player squad for the series. The squad has been trimmed from the original 18-member lineup, with fast bowler Aamir Jamal and spinner Faisal Akram being released.

PCB Announces Sale on Tickets 

The tickets for the two-Test match series between Pakistan and South Africa will go on sale later today from 5pm. The online tickets will be available here, while physical tickets for the Test matches will be available at TCS Express Centres from Today, 8 October, PCB announced.

The first Test will be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore from 12 to 16 October, while the second Test will take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from 20 to 24 October. Both Test matches are part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27.

The tickets for six white-ball matches (three T20Is, three ODIs) will go on sale online and available at TCS Express Centres from 16 October.
