Balochistan Launches Solarisation of Police Stations in Sibi

SIBI: Balochistan has launched solarisation of police stations in Sibi under the Balochistan Special Development Initiative.

Under the initiative, 6-kilowatt solar systems have been installed and made operational at three police stations in Sibi to ensure uninterrupted power supply and improve service delivery.

Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Sibi Range, Maroof Masood Safdar Wahla, and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sibi, Major (R) Ilyas Kabzai, inaugurated the 6-kilowatt solar systems at the Women Police Station and City Police Station Sibi. Wing Commander Colonel Zubair, SSP Sibi Akhtar Nawaz, and other senior officials also attended the ceremony.

Speaking at the event, DIGP said that effective supervision and timely maintenance of these development projects launched under the Government of Balochistan would ensure their long-term efficiency. He added that the solarization of police stations would provide a sustainable solution to their energy needs and improve public service delivery.

Later, SSP Sibi Akhtar Nawaz inaugurated the solarisation project at the Police Headquarters Sibi. The 6-kilowatt systems installed at all three stations are equipped with modern dry batteries to ensure continuous power backup.

SSP Nawaz credited DC Sibi Major (R) Ilyas Kabzai for his dedication and persistent efforts, which enabled the completion of these projects within a short time. He said the new systems would enhance police operations and efficiency.

He also thanked the Government of Balochistan for launching such public welfare and institutional improvement initiatives, noting that these projects would help modernise police functions and strengthen their capacity to serve citizens more effectively.
