NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Security forces killed six khawarij associated with India proxy Fitna al Khawarij during an operation in North Waziristan on Monday, officials said.
Security sources said forces monitored suspicious movements near the Mandi Khel Dam at Pani Post before launching the operation based on intelligence reports.
The militants opened fire, prompting forces to return fire. The exchange left six militants dead. Authorities launched a follow-up search operation in the area.
Two of the militants’ bodies have been recovered, while search efforts continue for the remaining four, officials said. Security forces have cordoned off the area and are monitoring all suspicious movements.

Officials said the operation aimed to disrupt militant networks and improve law and order in the region.
Earlier today, a suicide blew himself up near a police mobile martying a police personnel.
According to the police, a suicide attacker launched an attack on a police mobile in Bakhmal Ahmed Zai area of Laki Marwat.
One policeman embraced martyrdom while six other sustained injuries. The police team arrived immediately after the incident and launched a search and clearance oper .
The body and the injured policemen were shifted to the hospital. The attacker had died while launching the suicide attack.
The ISPR said that the area will be cleared from the Indian-sponsored militants of Fitna al Khawarij.
The ISPR have said that the security forces continue the anti-terrorism campaign with full force.
The security forces vow to completely eliminate the Indian-sponsored militancy from KP.
It is worth mentioning that the Indian-sponsored militants of Fitna al Khawarij have launched several militant-attacks in KP and Balochistan in the past many years.
All such terror groups are funded, trained and backed by India and have their havens and hideouts in Afghanistan.
