QUETTA: In a heart-wrenching incident near Quetta, four young sisters tragically drowned while playing by the Anmbar stream in the Dukki area.
According to Levies sources, the girls had accompanied their parents to the stream to wash clothes. Their bodies were recovered a day later.
The ages of the deceased girls ranged between 5 and 11 years.
This incident follows another recent tragedy in Zhob, where two women fell into a dam; one was rescued alive, while the other unfortunately lost her life.
It is important to note that, like other provinces, Balochistan has also suffered significant loss of life during the current monsoon season.
Sixteen people have reportedly drowned in flash floods across the region.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) had earlier issued warnings to residents living near seasonal streams and tourists visiting water-adjacent recreational spots.
