Sindh, Balochistan agree on Livestock Development Cooperation

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, in an important meeting with Balochistan’s Minister for Livestock Sardarzada Faisal Jamali at the CM House, announced increased inter-provincial engagement to promote livestock development. The meeting was also attended by Sindh Fisheries and Livestock Minister Muhammad Ali Malkani.

In this regard, the two leaders agreed to exchange superior breeds of livestock and organise a joint cattle show in Jacobabad, aiming to create cross-provincial exposure to high-yielding and resilient livestock. CM Murad Ali Shah showed his commitment to attending the event and extending an invitation to the Balochistan chief minister.

In this sense, mentioning the shared value of indigenous breeds, CM Murad underlined the importance of collaborative research between the livestock departments of both provinces. 

Sindh will promote its native Thari cattle, Red Sindhi, Kundi buffalo, Kohistani camel, and various goat breeds. Balochistan will present its Rakhli cattle, Bhagani bulls, and Kuchi camels.

Separately, CM Murad condemned a firing incident in Khairpur, instructing law enforcement agencies to take immediate action and ensure the safety of citizens.

The Chief Minister took urgent notice of a serious breach at the Dhamrao Branch in Mehar, District Dadu. He directed irrigation authorities to prioritize the protection of lives and property.

Meanwhile, CM Murad also met with the UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi, to explore avenues of investment and cooperation. The discussion centered on increasing bilateral ties, with special focus on public-private partnerships and women’s empowerment initiatives in Sindh. 

The ambassador congratulated the CM on the completion of Shahrah-e-Bhutto and expressed UAE’s interest in visiting Sindh for potential investment opportunities.

These engagements reflect Sindh’s growing emphasis on regional collaboration, infrastructure resilience, and international partnerships aimed at uplifting both rural development and urban infrastructure across the province.
