The shooter involved in the Sydney attack was Afghan national

SYDENY: A fact-check has identified inconsistencies in the age and identity details of the individual linked to the shooting incident in Sydeny, Australia. According to The Jerusalem Post, the shooter was described as a 24-year-old Pakistani national, with the informati reportedly based on details obtained from a driving license.

However, the FACT CHECK revealed that the shooter involved in the attack Incident was Naveed Akram, an Afghan national and a student of Al-Murad Islamic Institute of Sydney.

In contrast, a social media profile attributed to the same individual, identified as Naveed Akram, describes him as a Pakistani electrical engineer who completed his undergraduate engineering degree between 2012 and 2016.

Typically, an undergraduate engineering program requires a minimum graduation age of 22 to 23 years.

Based on this academic timeline, an individual who graduated in 2016 would be approximately 30 to 31 years old in 2025, rather than 24.
