Prominent Shia Ulema Meet Interior Minister in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: A delegation of prominent Shia scholars and religious leaders from various organizations convened at the Islamabad Convention Center today for a scheduled engagement with the Federal Interior Minister.

According to the sources,  a group of respected Shia Ulema and scholars arrived at the Convention Center in the federal capital for a planned meeting with the Minister for Interior.

The delegation includes:

  • Allama Arif Wahidi (SUC)
  • Syed Wazeer Kazmi (SUC)
  • Syed Ahmed Naqvi (SUC)
  • Imran Ali Haideri (SUC)
  • Syed Basharat Hussain Imami (Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-i-Jafariya – TNFJ)
  • Wajeeh ul Hassan Kazmi (TNFJ)
  • Abid Hussain (Tehreek-e-Bedari Mustafa)
  • Amjad Alvi (Custodian, Imam Bargah G-6/2)
  • Syed Zahid Abbas Kazmi (Wahdat-e-Ulema)

The meeting comes amid heightened sensitivities in the region, following recent developments including reported international incidents and domestic security measures such as the imposition of Section 144 in Islamabad to maintain public order during potential protests.
