OTAWA: The individual seen confronting journalist Shahzeb Khanzada at a mall in Canada has been identified online as a man named Shahid Bhatti, reportedly known as Shahid Aziz Bhatti, a Pakistani-origin resident of Mississauga, Ontario.
He is said to have links to real-estate companies such as Home Leader Realty Inc. and Earn Max Realty Point, though official confirmation remains unclear.
Social media users claim he is an outspoken PTI supporter whose online activity frequently includes harsh political commentary, personal attacks, and confrontational behavior.
Critics argue that such actions do not reflect activism but rather intimidation and needless provocation, especially when directed at public figures in family spaces.
They also stress that both Canada and Pakistan discourage such conduct and that it is important to discourage a culture of harassment and hostility in political discourse.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first occasions that the notables of politics, media and other fields get offended on the public places only because they do not belong or always agree to a political narrative, leader and party that the people are the die-hard followers off.
Unfortunately, only because a party is not getting gifted and blessed now by the courts and the security institutions of Pakistan as it was dealt in the past one decade, now harassing, threatening and demoralizing all those institutions has become a trend using the disinformation and the fifth-generation hybrid war.
Surprisingly, no other parties-workers carry out same practices just because they are living in the foreign countries.
Making a mess by creating such dramas, despite living in foreign countries, living luxurious lives and knowing nothing about the political and social culture of Pakistan on the basis of blind-following can lead to disastrous consequences.
