KP Information Advisor Shafi Jan vows to protect ‘every inch’ of soil

ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP  Information Advisor Shafi Jan has reiterated the state’s unwavering commitment to territorial integrity, stating that it is the duty of every Pakistani to protect every inch of the homeland.

Speaking on Hum News’ program “Pakistan Tonight,” the Information Advisor addressed the recent spike in cross-border tensions, confirming that Pakistan’s effective and decisive response is ongoing following unprovoked firing by the Afghan Taliban.

Shafi Jan praised the swift reaction of the Pakistani military, stating that the security forces delivered a befitting reply to the Afghan aggression. “The entire nation stands with its security forces,” he asserted, emphasizing national unity in the face of external threats.

Providing context on diplomatic efforts, Shafi Jan mentioned that the Pakistani government previously held talks with the Afghan regime in Istanbul. He underscored that while Pakistan remains committed to peaceful dialogue, the use of Afghan soil for activities against Pakistan is completely unacceptable.

“The solution to all problems is possible only through talks,” the Advisor noted, while drawing a firm red line. “Afghan soil should not be used against Pakistan, and no compromise will be made on the country’s security,” he concluded, signaling a policy of zero tolerance for cross-border militancy.
